The Fab Flowers Stamp and die from Lawn Fawn is just an awesome set! The flowers can be arranged in so many ways and of course with different color combinations the possibilities are endless.
When I first saw this set I didn't see I would fall in love with it but after I've bought it I couldn't stop playing with it! This is the birthday card I made for my SIL:
I love that it is so easy and guess what? Because you can always make something different with it, the novelty never wears away!

Shaped birthday card
Happy Monday!
My blog has gone really quiet for the last two weeks. I was travelling for work non-stop. Although I like to be away from the office from time to time, I also miss the time that I can actually sit at my desk and focus on work. Sometimes, spending hours a day on the road is draining, and if I hit traffic jams, I sing to the songs on the radio to keep myself entertained.
But things are getting back to normal and that means I'll have time to craft! :)
I'm sharing a birthday card today:
It is a shaped card and it makes all the difference! So much fun! The card front doesn't say happy birthday and honestly, I couldn't find a space to stamp that. LOL. The birthday cake itself will make it obvious. :)
My card is entering the following challenges:
In the pink - Birthday
Seize the birthday - Anything Goes
Little Red Wagon - Birthday boys
Stamps and fun - Animals
Stamping Sensations - Anything Goes

Birthday card
I came to my blog and realized that several scheduled posts did not publish! Oops.
But that's okay. One of the scheduled posts was a birthday card that I decided not to give out to my nephew, because I've made another one more awesome!
The new Lawn Fawn goodies are so popular that it took a long time for my order to arrive. I'm glad that I finally get to play with them and it is literally just in time for my nephew's birthday.
The pop-up card is certainly fun to make, and it's just as fun to color the astronaut and planets. I hope my nephew likes it as much as I like making it.
Did you know that Lawn Fawn has started its own challenge? You can find the details here. I look forward to participating in more of its challenges!
My card is linking up to the following:
Lawn Fawnatics - Happy Birthday
A gem of a challenge - boy's birthday

Birthday card again
This time I'm sharing a birthday card for a one-year old. Little James turned one! Time flies.
The stamp set Party Animal from Lawn Fawn is always a wonderful helper in making birthday cards. Here, I only needed this one stamp set that has all images to make this card. I like that I could use the small images to create a subtle background like it is some patterned paper. I added a star shaped die cut as the focal point for the bear and the birdy. Finally I cut out a banner for the greeting.
This card came together at no time, which was awesome as I was running late to his party. :p
My card is entering the following:
Jo's Scrap Shack - anything goes
Cut it up - birthday cards
Come and get it - cards for kids
The Paper Players - cut it out

Birthday card
I have a few birthday parties to go to in March so I'm whipping up birthday cards. Many of them are guys so they will challenge my creativity!
I started making one for Carlos, a soon-to-be 89 years old. Wow. I have seen him many times over the years at parties or celebration but I never knew his age. I couldn't believe he is approaching 89! He is definitely young at heart!
I decided to make a cute card for him, using some new Lawn Fawn goodies! I love pinked circles so I have to have this new zig zag circle stackables. The Happy die is fun and super versatile too! And I just can't get enough the birdies from love letters. Absolutely fun and easy for making quick cards.
So I got one done. Tomorrow I'm going to my friend's son's 1 year old party. Need to make another one now!
My card is entering the following:
Seize the Birthday - Birthday
Inky Chicks - birthday
Crafty Sentiments Designs - Anything Goes
Have a great weekend and happy crafting!

Happy Birthday
Sharing a masculine birthday card today:
I was fortunate to have snatched the new Lawn Fawn love letters stamp set soon after it was released. I wasn't too big on V day cards but this set is great all year round too! The cute envelope image is so fun!
I can see that I can easily change it to a card for a different occasion - use a heart or circle instead of a star; put other sentiments beneath it, etc.
This card will go to a supportive friend. Hope he will like it.
It is entering the following:
Seize the Birthday - anything goes
CCEE stampers - bird day
Dragonfly journeys - birthday bash
Cardz 4 Guyz - Birthday

Four identical cards?
Can you tell the difference among the following four pictures?
Thanks for stopping by!
Using the techniques I learned at Wild Card over at Online Card Classes, I have made this spinner card. The interesting part is the balloon held by the bear. As you turn the spinner, the color changes and so does the face, except for the orange balloon I've stamped 4. Yes, my niece is turning 4 and I have no idea how she is growing so fast!
Last year I made a birthday card for her using the same stamp set, but there only 3 critters. This year there are 4 critters and the card involves an interactive portion. I sure did have a lot of fun making it and I hope she will have fun playing it.
I'm linking my card to:

For my mom
This is the card I made for my mom:
I've used the retired Happy Times paper from Close to My Heart, then I've used the tag dies and squre dies from Lawn Fawn. The flowers are stamps from Altenew. Boy, I can't tell you how many times I've practiced stamping those layered flowers before I finally found one that's acceptable.
They are fun to play with, and the end result is gorgeous but I needed a lot of practice. I didn't have the Altenew inks that were designed to work with these stamp sets (its a set of inks of the same family, i.e. light to dark blue), so I have to see which combination of ink pads in my stash works well. It took me a while to figure that out.
It's all worth it. It's for my mom, who is my role model, my best friend, and also my biggest fan.

Happy Monday!
Happy Monday everyone!
I hope you had a great Father's day weekend.
I'm sharing a very simple card today:
It has been quite a while since I last shared any of my work. I have been making cards and layouts, but I refrain from looking at the screen during weekends. My dry eyes have not been better, but at this point surgery is not recommended. So I should continue to rest more and spend as little time on the screen as possible.
My mom asked me for birthday cards and when I make them, I keep in mind that her friends are older, so the cards should be more lady-like than cutesy. There are many sketches online but I can't afford looking for one I'd like to try because of my dry eyes. I went to my trusty Wishes, a How-to Program for card-making and picked this sketch. Absolutely easy peasy. I have actually made two cards with this sketch, one with the elegant Florence paper, and one with the colorful Magical paper. They are both great but I do like this one better! A great sketch does help a lot!
This card is entering the following challenges:
1. Seize the birhday - Birthday

2. Crafty Girls Creations - Anything Goes
3. Crafting with an Attitude - Anything Goes
4. Mortgan's Art World - Happy Birthday
5. Dragonfly Dreams - Say it with Flowers
A quick reminder that Flash Sale is going on in full force. Check out the great deals here!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Birthday cards
I hope those who live in the US had a great Memorial Day weekend.
My dry eye symptoms are reappearing. Oops. Time spent on the screen has to be greatly reduced. Thus I spent quite a bit of time crafting. Yay!
My mom asked me for a few birthday cards and I'm happy to oblige. It was quite a productive weekend and I got a few done. They were all made from the Happy Times paper pack:

Happy Times
Happy Friday!
Are you all ready for the weekend?
I am not quite ready yet. The City is hosting a free neighborhood cleanup event this weekend and I haven't collected all the items yet. I know I have a few old laptops and cell phones waiting for this event, and also some old computer accessories. So tonight I'll have to dig up all of them and be ready for tomorrow's cleanup event. This event only takes place every three years. I don't think I want those old laptops for another three years!
It feels very good to get rid of those items that are no longer in use. My home is being detoxed. hahaha~
Today I'm sharing a card that I used the Happy Times paper and the coordinating stamp set. It's clean and simple and I like that it can be used for various occasions:
I like sentiments that are generic so it can be used for different occasions. "Happy Times" from this exclusive stamp set is one of them. When I started making this card, I meant to use it for a birthday, but I think it could also be used for a graduate. Both are happy occasions!
My card is linking up to the following:
Crafty Gals Corner - May Flowers
Addicted to Stamps - Clean and Simple
DLART - flowers/graduation

Celebrate
I hope everyone had a great crafty National Scrapbooking Day, and a great Mother's Day!
I did spend some time crafting, despite the fact that I should focus on a million other things. I told myself I had to carve out as little as 15 minutes on crafting because hey, it's National Scrapbooking Day!
A few layouts were made. The most happy part was to re-live the memories of those little moments. I am the kind of scrapper who likes to tell everyday stories rather than documenting events. Certainly birthday parties, vacation, trips to Disney are worth documenting, but if my album shows these bigger events only, I'm afraid I might forget my everyday life, which constitutes a much bigger part of my life.
I also tried to make a few cards. I said "tried" because I didn't finish them over the weekend. Oops. But I'm happy to report that I finished one today. It's a birthday card:
This card looks familiar to you? It's very similar to one of the cards in the Kaleidoscope Workshop except I'm using Celebrate with Cake, this month's Stamp of the Month. :)
This card will go to a Taurus girl by the end of this month. I mentioned that I have many cards to send out this month and I'm still catching up!
My card is linking up to the following:
Seize the Birthday - birthday and/or coloring
Fussy and Fancy - birthday

Have a magical day!
Happy Friday and have a magical day!
Today I'm sharing a card that I made for my sister-in-law. Her birthday is in May but there are so many cards I have to send out in May so I have to start making them early.
I really like the Fairy Friends set from Lawn Fawn and decided to make a birthday card for my SIL with it. It's a window card again!

I can't resist making window cards. They didn't involve a lot of effort but they sure do add a lot of interest!
In addition to using the Fairy Friends set, I also used the snow globe from Ready, Set, Snow, the sun and clouds from Hello Sunshine, flowers from Happy Easter, and the grassy border die. The perfectly plaid paper was a must for the background! It adds a lot of colors to the card!
I got to work on my cousin's birthday card next........my project for this weekend. :)

Birthday
I have made a birthday card for a soon-to-be one year old. This is one of the types of cards I find difficult. So I went with the cute critters from Lawn Fawn. The one-year-old is a boy, so I thought I have to put those hearts and butterflies away. I flipped through my stacks of stamp sets and thought that the dinosaur would be a nice choice:
I picked two dinosaurs in the set Critters from the past, then used the speech bubbles from A birdie told me to add the sentiments. I had fun coloring them using Copic markers.

Celebrate!
Hi everyone!
Today I'm sharing a technique that I like a lot but do not get to play with too often - stamp kissing!
Here, I inked up the solid balloon image from Workshops on the Go Kaleidoscope Cardmaking Kit and stamp on the Charming Cascades stamp. Thus, the stars have absorbed some of the inks on the balloon, and when I stamped the balloon on paper, you see tiny little stars on the balloon. I love this technique and I'm not sure why I'm not playing with it more often. LOL.
I used the same cascade of star image in the Charming Cascades set as a background. I inked it up in Pear and the background cardstock is also Pear. This tone-on-tone technique never fails me - it always adds interest and is so easy to do! Love this technique too!

Hip! Hip! Hooray!
I'm back today to share my card using Balloon Animals, Stamp of the Month of February of Close to My Heart.
I had many ideas in my head but I couldn't resist using another sketch from Make it from your Heart II. These how-to programs are time-savers! They are also my source of inspiration when I need it. :) I can't help but using the Zoe paper packet. The fun and bright colors are perfect for this party/celebration themed stamp set. It turned out cute and I hope you like it too!

Birthday fishes!
I've combined the stamps from the Lawn fawn Fintastic Friends and Party Animal. By adding the birthday caps on the fish, they instantly become birthday fishes! I also combined the sentiment "Happy Birthday" from Party Animal with "best fishes" from Fintastic Friends - like that pun that matches with the scene.
I was inspired by these cards made by Jennifer McGuire here. I like that she used balloons and birthday caps to give the fish a whole new look. A pun using sentiments from those two sets was the last step. They are birthday fishes, right?
My card was given to a friend who has a cat. I asked her not to let her cat eat the cute birthday fishes! LOL.

Make a Wish!
I'm continuing to share the fun I have had with the Lawn Fawn new goodies. Today's card is a birthday card:
I'll be honest that I was busing having fun coloring and constructing the scene then I totally forgot where to put the sentiment. I mean, totally! After I've placed the characters and their accessories on the card, then the clouds and the sun, I realized that I forgot to put down "Happy Birthday." Oops.
"An opportunity to be creative," I told myself and took a deep breath. I thought of using a banner across the bottom of the card and fortunately the sentiment from Party Animal "Make a wish" does fit in one of the banners. Phew!
I am more than happy that this card is done, perfect for Z, whose 1st birthday will be held next Saturday! :)
My card is linking up to the following:
1. Seize the Birthday - Animals
2. Coloring Crazy Challenge - Blue/Birthdays
3. Fairy tale challenge - Birthday with children
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
