CAS

CAS in today's card has double, or perhaps triple meaning.  Check this out:

Looks familiar?  I'm CAS-ing myself from the card here.  For this one I've used a different sentiment and tried something new - diffusers.  By using them the circle in the middle is not embossed so it gives me a flat surface to stamp on and stick the onesies.

I made this card with a purpose of improving the old version of it and guess what?  I do like this one better!

My card is entering the following challenges:
1.  The Play Date Cafe - Black, White and a Splash of color:

2.  The Paper Players - CAS with bling:
and
3.  CAS on Sunday - BLack, White, plus one.

Dream Pop

I got my Dream Pop paper and have been playing it!  The colors are bright and vibrant and you will love them!

Let me share with you this birthday card I made this past weekend:

This card made use of the sketch at Pals Paper Arts:

and the color combo at The Play Date Cafe:

and it is participating the challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! - Anything goes.

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!

A break from Christmas cards

Not that I am tired of making Christmas cards, but I really need to catch up with my other cards!

I've based my card on the sketch by Heart 2 Heart Challenges:

and the color combo from The Play Date Cafe:

I like the Pemberley paper matches with the combo and decided to give it a try:

The Pemberley paper is very pretty and I don't seem to have enough of it.  It will be retired by the end of January so I guess I will stock up before it is gone!

Love U

A disaster almost happened when I was creating today's card.

I have all the pieces cut out and ready to stamp on a letter each stamp .  Em, I got O, V, E and U, but where's L?  I was using L to measure the size of the stamp so I knew I had taken it out from the package but where was it?

It turned out that after I had cut all the pieces with my Cricut, I tried to be organized and put the Cricut mat away.  As I was doing so, the letter "l" was stuck to the back of the mat and it was "relocated" involuntarily to the bottom of the box that I kept my mat.

Glad that I found the letter.  Can't imagine what I should do with the alphabet set if I lose one letter.  What would you do?

Anyhow, onto today's card (Thanks for reading along).  I'm combinining the sketch challenge from Just Us Girls and the color challenge from The Play Date Cafe:

When I saw the four squares I wanted to fill in the word "LOVE" in each of the squares, so I've made a Valentine's Day card:

The color combo Black, White and Red in The Play Date Cafe challenge is a great combo and I've learned quite a bit from the participants that are using it for Christmas projects.  The sketch by Just Us Girls is very versatile too.  I'd like to make a masculine card that has a similar design but says "HB2U".  It should give it a lot of fun to try it out!

Wicked Halloween

I started early with my Christmas cards but I have prepared very few Halloween/Fall cards so I have to catch up!

The Play Date Cafe's challenge is black, white and a splash of plum:

Yay!  Inspiration for a Halloween card!

This is what I have made:

I'm entering this card for Come and Get it Challenges, which asks us to pick three elements from the list to work with.  The list includes the following:  Purple, Green, Black, Glitter, Staples, Gems, Ribbon, Circles, Scallops.  I've chosen Purple, Black and circles.

I'm also linking it up to Catered Crop, which asks us to make a Halloween project.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of You

Just want to share a quick CAS card combing the color challenge presented by The Play Date Cafe:

and the sketch challenge by Unscripted Sketches:

I have wanted to play along with The Play Date Cafe for a long time!  So glad that I get a chance to try their color combo finally!  Thanks to this challenge I've tried a combo that I would never have thought of - Cherry - Mint Julep - Jade.  But when you put them together, they do look nice!

Happy crafting!
