I'm back to explain what i did to this card.
I've prepared a mat with Outdoor Denim cardstock, and the Sky (light blue) background was stamped with a Cover-a-card stamp from Impression Obsession.  It is super convenient to turn a plain cardstock to one patterned paper!  The stars were fussy cut from the retired paper Fanfare.   Finally I die cut the letters from Memory Box letter dies. 

A Mother's Day card

Unless I feel like making more Mother's Day cards I should be done for this year.  It is quite a relief as it is the second biggest occasion that I needs the most number of cards.  The biggest one?  Christmas of course!  I don't have such a strong urge to make Father's Day cards, let's see if it will change this year.

I can't resist the sketch at Sketchbook Saturday.  The challenge host Iwona was at her 40th week pregnancy when it was posted, I appreciate what she is doing for us bloggers and I wish her all the best for the delivery and the new baby!

A Father's Day card

I am always done with Mother's Day cards for this year so I thought it would be nice to take a break from them and make a masculine card.

I wanted to use Dakota paper as the houndtooth and the woodgrain are just so perfect for a man's card.  I found a sketch from Fab Friday and would like to give it a try.  The sketch looks like this:

My Father's Day card looks like this:

I really like the sentiment "You are some kind of wonderful", it is just the perfect one for a great father!

Thinking of You cards

Thinking of you cards are always low in my stash.  I guess that's because I don't make them often but I actually do need them from time to time.  I'm going to share two today - one for him and one for her.

Birthday cards

I'm sharing birthday cards today.  I'm asking for your patience and understanding that because my camera was broken the pictures today and in the near future are not in their best shape.

I am back!

I had a wonderful mini-vacation in San Diego!  After I'm back, work is crazy, laundry and unpacking undone and camera not working. 

Things are slowly getting back to where they should be and I'm happy to be sharing cards again!

Next up is a pair of cards using the same sketch - the one on the right is more masculine:

 

I almost always struggle with making masculine cards.  But this time by using the same paper pack (Sonoma from Close to My Heart), same sketch and same sentiment I am able to make one for a man.  Sympathy cards are difficult to make when I need them, especially if it is for a man.  I'll continue to build up my stash of sympathy cards.

Fabulous Fabric

Have you tried the fabulous fabric by Close to My Heart?  I've made some flowers with them here and love that I could do a variety of things with them.  Check out the video below!
